Monica Ramirez

Monica Ramirez began her teaching career in 2011, when she was hired by the Florence Unified School District as an English teacher, while also teaching and coaching Dance and Pom.  In her second year of teaching, she was awarded the honor of Teacher of the Year for Florence High School. In 2016, she was hired as the Master Teacher for Florence K-8, and held this position until being hired as the Master Teacher at West Elementary in 2018.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, as well as a Masters of Education in Educational Administration, both obtained from Grand Canyon University. She also obtained a Principal’s Certificate through the Arizona Department of Education in 2017.  As an educator, Mrs. Ramirez believes in the importance of a growth mindset.  She believes with the proper encouragement and guidance, all students can and will achieve success.  Mrs. Ramirez has been married to Orlando Ramirez for 17 years, and has 4 sons named Gabriel, Adrian, Noah and Jude.
